Teaching 2019

Students at Fuller Elementary perform an original dance and scene at a local nursing home

Kristin has been hard at work as a Teaching Artist in 2019. In the winter/spring she worked in five different schools leading residencies on playwriting, literacy and theatre arts, creative drama, and arts-led project-based learning. She also took up the mantle as the director of Yellowstone TheatreMakers (originally The Yellowstone Theatre Project) in Bozeman, MT. Students led the way in creating original theatre pieces during a Winter Workshop and Spring Break and Summer Camps. Summer found Kristin serving as Core Acting Faculty for the National High School Institute’s Theatre Arts Division at Northwestern University (less formally known as Cherubs). She taught acting, extended voice work, and text analysis to rising seniors from all over the country. In the fall she continues to teach with Victory Gardens and Writers Theatre and is excited to embark on a Spoken Word residency for the first time.
